Free grandstand with paid admission to be offered at 69th annual Youth Fair

HARTFORD – A free grandstand with paid gate admission will be offered at the 69th annual Van Buren Youth Fair, which will get underway July 15-20, for its weeklong run.
Nightly grandstand features include:
Monday, July 15, 6 p.m. – Farm Stock Tractor Pull, followed by Magic Cloud Balloons Tethered Rides at 7 p.m. Balloon ride prices will be determined by the vendor.
Tuesday, July 16, 7 p.m. – Hartford NTPA Nationals Tractor Pull. The event will feature super farm tractors, two-wheel drive pickups and mini modifieds.
Wednesday, July 17, 7 p.m., Fair Fiesta Extravaganza, featuring music by Grupo Entrega Total and Super Nova. Bangor’s own Abel Munoz will provide a 15-minute musical set in between bands. Event MC will be Daniel “Dano” Oropeza.
A mechanical bull will also be available for participants.
Thursday, July 18, 7:30 p.m. TNT Demolition Derby.
Friday, July 19, 7p.m., Super Kicker Rodeo Production.

Following the rodeo, at dusk, a free fireworks show will light up the fairground sky.
Hillside entertainment ends its weeklong run on Saturday, July 20, at 6 p.m., with Unique Motor Sports Demolition Derby (Night of Destruction).
Skerbeck Entertainment Group returns with midway entertainment, July 16-20, Tuesday through Saturday, opening daily at 3 p.m., and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Kids’ Day. Wristbands are $30 (Wednesday only $25). An unlimited Megaband is $90 with purchase before Monday, July 15, at 5 p.m. at: skerbeck.com (The Top Gun ride requires four additional plus a mega or a wristband).
There will be free nightly music in the fair’s Community Tent, beginning Monday night with Vineyard Chicks at 9; Tuesday, 7p.m. – Schlitz Creek; Wednesday, 7 p.m. – Black River Band; Thursday, 7 p.m. – Carrie McFerrin and the McFerrinites; Friday, 7 p.m. – Full Measure; Friday, 9 p.m. – Scott Spears Trio; Saturday, 7 p.m. – Waylon Hanel; Saturday, 9 p.m. – Chick & The Boomers.
The Magic of Trino will be offered Wednesday, July 17 through Saturday July 20, with shows on Wednesday, 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 5 p.m.; and Thursday through Saturday, 1, 3 and 5 p.m.
Special days include Monday, July 15 – Armed Forces Day with free admission for veterans and active military until 5 p.m. The day is sponsored in part by Champion – Specialty Services Provider. Monday’s Farm Stock Tractor Pull is sponsored in part by Dorr Farms. Tuesday – Ladies Day and Senior Citizens’ Day – free admission for ladies (19 and older) and seniors until 5 p.m. Wednesday – Kids’ Day – sponsored in part by Tapper Auto Group. A Bicycle Give Away will be held. Friday’s Super Kicker Rodeo Production is sponsored in part by Honor Credit Union.
General admission is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens; children, six to 12, $5; and five and under, free. Gate season passes are $35 for adults; senior citizens, $30; children, ages six to 12, $25; and five and under free.
