Fuller found guilty in Centreville pursuit/weapons case
CENTREVILLE — A 34-year-old Three Rivers man was found guilty last week of 10 felony county arising from a March 2025 police pursuit and a subsequent discovery of drugs and illegal weapons.
Caron Fuller was found guilty by jury of three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealing weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, third-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, and possession of methamphetamine.
According to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, a St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed Fuller operating a dirt bike and attempted a traffic stop. Fuller fled, leading officers on a pursuit through the Village of Centreville. The chase ended in a residential neighborhood on Burr Oak Street when Fuller lost control of the dirt bike and crashed. After a brief foot chase, Fuller was arrested.
During the arrest, officers located methamphetamine, ammunition, and a pistol in Fuller’s possession. Due to prior felony convictions, Fuller is legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. At trial, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, the prosecution presented evidence establishing Fuller’s possession of the meth, firearm and ammunition, as well as his attempts to flee from law enforcement and resist arrest.
Fuller is currently in the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections, having entered a plea earlier this year in an unrelated case involving Larceny in a Building and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny over $20,000 related to a vehicle theft in Three Rivers in November 2024. Fuller was on bond for that case at the time of the Centreville pursuit. His plea to the conspiracy charge resulted in a 36-month minimum prison sentence.
Sentencing in this matter is scheduled for January 2026 in St. Jsoeph County 45th Circuit Court. Fuller could face up to life in prison due to his status as a fourth habitual offender.
