“Heather has the skills, experience and passion necessary to support those learners that are looking for alternative pathways, and we are confident that she will thrive in this new role,” Ebert said.”
George will continue work as assistant principal at SMS until a successor is confirmed, Ebert said.
The board of education also honored the latest group of “Trojan Heroes.”
Some comments submitted by nominators:
Maria Lopez (custian, ABM). “Maria is always walking in, bright and early, with a big smile on her face ready to get the day started. She is such a caring person. We appreciate everything that she does for our school so very much.”
Kelly Mallory (second grade teacher, Wall Elementary School). “Kelly has high expectations for her students and they are willing to work hard for her, as she builds great relationships with each and every kid in her class. She has a heart of gold and does what it takes to advocate for her students.”
George Earl (social studies teacher, Sturgis Middle School). “George goes above and beyond in both the classroom and beyond.
