GOBLES — The Gobles varsity volleyball team won a hard-fought five-set battle against Saugatuck, with scores of 17-25, 25-12, 17-25, 25-22, and 18-16. Kylee led the team with 18 digs and seven aces, while Ellie Wood added three kills. Riley Johnson tallied six kills, and Gabbie DeWater contributed four assists. Adriana Dickerson recorded four digs, and Alana Gonzalez kept the team in the game with six digs. Kimberlee Newland chipped in three kills, Ashlyn Myers added four assists and several digs, and Addy made her presence felt at the net with four blocks.
“It was a great way to come together as a team—showing grit, not giving up, and following through on the 4 C’s, Coach Renee Rambadt said.
Paw Paw 14th
PAW PAW — Paw Paw’s girl golf team was 14th on Friday at the Goldwater Lady Cardinal Invitational.
Lily Brausch had a 100 for Paw Paw to place 26th while Sydney McNitt shot a 110 for 53rd. Maci Vandrmeeden was 50th with a 109 and Mayeli Paredes-Zavala 73rd with a 119.
