HARRISON — Harrison’s girls basketball team will enter the holiday break with a 2-2 record.
On Tuesday, “we dropped a tough game against Meridian, losing 74-43,” Harrison coach Ryan Carlstrom said. “Leading the way for us was Lydia Kendall with 21 points and 13 rebounds, she even took three charges defensively. Second in scoring was Hayley Neff with 11 points. The girls got off to a slow first half which was pretty hard.
“Coming out of halftime, we were able to keep the scoring pretty even. I’m very proud of the way the girls battled. I told them after the game, ‘that’s a very good team we played. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do against them the second time around.”
Harrison lost to Gladwin 40-38 on Dec. 12.
Harrison will now enter the holiday break and get ready for the January portion of the schedule which starts on Jan. 9 at. St. Louis and continues on Jan. 14 at home against Ogemaw Heights.
Harrison plays at Farwell on Jan. 17.
