HARRISON — Harrison’s girls basketball team fell to St. Louis on Feb. 7 by a 42-31 verdict.
A scheduled home game on Feb. 12 with Farewell was canceled because of the weather.
Harrison is slated to be at Standish-Sterling on Feb. 14, at home with Lakeview on Feb. 19, at home with Shepherd on Feb. 21, at home with a Jack Pine Cross on Feb. 25 and at Chippewa Hills on Feb. 27.
With the loss to St. Louis, Harrison fell to 4-9 in the league and 6-9 overall. Sanford Meridian leads the league at 13-0, and is 14-2 overall, followed by Beaverton at 11-2 and 1-2. St. Louis at 7-6 and 11-6, Pinconning at 1-12 and 3-13 and Farwell at 1-12 and 1-15.
Lydia Kendall led the way for Harrison with 15 points and six rebounds against St. Louis.“We were up at halftime and then we just hit a stretch where our shots weren’t falling and theirs were,” Harrison coach Ryan Carlstrom said. “Ultimately the third quarter hurt us a lot in the end. I’m still looking for us to put together a complete game.”
“So with districts coming up shortly, now is the best time to do it. Hopefully we can make something crazy happen in March.”
