It’s coming! The 19th Annual Harrison Street Fair is almost upon us and this year looks to be even bigger and better than ever!
The ever popular Kid’s Carnival will be returning this year, on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as the vendor and food truck fair and LIVE music and beer tent in the Town Square/Pavillion area.
Of course the Harrison Street Fair would not be complete without the Old US 27 Motor Tour on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Main Street being rerouted.
But here’s the rest of the HUGE line-up and this is incredible!
Friday bands:
11-3 Jose the DJ, followed by Josh Ramses Band (blues, classic rock, country) from 3-6 p.m., and The Relics (classic rock) from 7-11 p.m.
Saturday bands:
11-3 Jose the DJ returns followed by Gabe Couch (singer/guitarist), with Triple Beam Band (classic rock done right!) closing Saturday from 7-11 p.m.
The food line-up is off the hook! Harrison’s own Hang’s Chinese will be representing, along with Nom Nom Ninja on Friday and brickstone pizza on Saturday. Triple C Concenssions, the Longer Table, Bennett’s, Bubba’s BBQ, Snappy’s, and popcorn and ice cream vendors too!
If you’d like to walk off the calories before you consume them, there’s a Budd Lake Color Walk (if you wear a white t-shirt they will blast you with color!) at 9 a.m. at Saxton Park to walk around the lake.
Taking the kids? Well, Top 5 America’s Got Talent contestant Brynn Cummings will be on hand with her delightful magic and ventriloquism act with showtimes on Saturday at noon and 1:30 p.m.
On both Friday and Saturday there will be a “Foam Pit,” where you can clean up a bit in a 10’x25’ pit filled with soap foam Friday requires a wrist band but if you can hang on until Saturday, the pit is free for all ages! The Foam Pit is courtesy of Silly Goose Foam Productions.
Does daring and danger look more inviting? The Harrison Fire Department will be demonstrating the Jaws of Life on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
If you are a Jeep person – and you know you are! – participate in the Jeep the Budd convoy that will be traveling around the entirety of Budd Lake at 10 a.m. All Jeep owners are welcome to participate!
There are 110 vendors on hand this year not counting the food vendors, so shop for those early Christmas presents. The Harrison Community Schools, Harrison Hornet Football team, Hornet Cheerleaders, HCS Robotics Team and sponsor booths will also be on hand.
So what are you waiting for anyway? Get yourself up off the couch and grab the family to enjoy two wonderful days in your community! Tell them the Review sent ya!
