William August Ketner, of Harrison, was charged with three counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, 2nd or subsequent offense; one count of Delivery of (Cocaine, Heroin, or another narcotic) under 50 grams, 2nd or subsequent offense; and one count of Maintaining a Drug house. The charges were the result of an investigation conducted by MINT narcotics enforcement team in June and July of 2022.
After two full days of trial and almost a day for deliberations, a jury of his peers found him guilty of two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Drug House and not guilty of two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine. (The second or subsequent offense notice is a sentencing enhancement that is applied when he is sentenced.)
Prosecutor Michelle Ambrozaitis handled the case. “The detectives with MINT and the confidential source did an amazing job working together on this investigation. Without the assistance of confidential sources we wouldn’t be able to effectively prosecute those who are dealing drugs within our community,” said Prosecutor Ambrozaitis.
Prosecutor Ambrozaitis would also like to thank the jury for their time and attention during trial. “Citizen participation as jurors is absolutely necessary for our criminal justice system to function.”
The court permitted the defendant to remain out on bond pending his sentencing hearing currently scheduled for September 3, 2024.
