LAWRENCE — Lawrence defeated White Pigeon 31-29 in girls basketball action on Jan. 16.
Carolina Mancera and Colleen MCcaw had 10 points apiece for Lawrence.
Kaylin Leyva had nine points.
The Lawrence girls won 42-26 over Hartford on Jan; 13 at home and lost to Cassopolis on Jan. 9.
Lawrence’s boys basketball team is 7-5 after a 69-63 loss to White Pigeon. Lawrence had defeated Hartford 62-54 on Jan 13 and lost to Cassopolis on Jan. 9.
The Tigers were scheduled to play at home on Jan. 19 with Kalamazoo Heritage Christian, at Decatur on Jan. 23 and at home on Jan. 27 with Bangor.
Lawrence’s wrestling team competed at the recent Marcellus Tournament.
Zachary Plane had a pin at 175 pounds against Cole Spry of Marcellus in 2:04.
He was pinned by Brendan Jackson of Bangor in 25 seconds.
Adriam Valerio was at 190 pounds for Lawrence. He won over Cyle Krohling of Richland Gull Lake and decisioned Tyler Colds of Buchanan 9-2. He was pinned in his final match by Cody Priest of Schoolcraft in 45 seconds.
