LAWTON – At the recent Division 3 state finals 12 of our Lawton’s athletes competed very well in several events. Here is a summary of their efforts:
Mason Mayne 1st in discus with 166-9; 2nd in shot with 60-1; Jason Barnett – 12th in shot w/ 47-9; Lexi Girolami – 23rd in high jump at 4-8; Gabby Holloway – 23rd in high jump at 4-8. Megan Robertson – 10th in pole vault at 9-6” 3-time State Qualifier; Alyssa McNally – 28th in pole vault at 7-9.
Greyson Burrous 15th in 100 meter w 11.21; Kamden Olson – 23rd in 800m w 2:05.32 – 4×2 relay – 21st w/ 1:33.1; Kal Motter, Hayden Merriman, Greyson Burrous, Aiden O’brien.
Lawton golf
LAWTON – Lawton’s golf season ended at the recent regional tournament and Coldwater Golf Course.
Lawton took sixth place with 399. Hillsdale won it with 331 followed by Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep with 335 and Kalamazoo Christian with 336 and Cassopolis with 361.
Levi Brooks led Lawton with 96 Kaedon Miller with 99, Connor Triemstra with 101, Nolan Collins with 103 and Nick Schubert with 115.
