MARION – Coach Ryan Raymond’s Eagles finishes the season recently at 14-15.
“We had a lot of good players on the team,” he said. “We didn’t have that dominant pitching that we’re used to. We had some girls step up trying to fill that role but it took them out of their position. We were most games where we dropped them at the end.
“I thought it was successful. Overall, we had a lot of good young girls whom it was fun to be around. They worked hard to find successes we had.”
Raymond said a lot of players are graduating.
Raymond coaches a summer Michigan Expos team which includes his daughter Malley Raymond and seven girls from Evart plus Zoe Taylor from Big Rapids and Paityn Enos and Hayden Cutler from Reed City.
“We have five tournaments spread out,” Raymond said. “We’ll be up at Traverse City the weekend of June 21. We played in Grand Blanc for probably the toughest tournament in Michigan.”
