On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Paw Paw-Lawton Masonic Lodge No. 25 presented a check for $1,060 to Child Safety of America, Inc. The donation was made during the monthly meeting of the lodge. Funds provided by the organization were made possible from the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundations Lodge Charity Account.
Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott attended the meeting and received the check. Sheriff Abbott also spoke about the program.
“I cannot thank the Paw Paw- Lawton Masonic Lodge No. 25 enough for contributing to our program. This program has been huge in our community being able to reach so many of our children. Without people like the Masons contributing, this would not be possible. The children in our community are our future, so anytime we can make a positive influence in their lives, it’s huge. A program like this does just that,” said Sheriff Abbott.
