A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, celebrating the completion of Phase One of Mattawan Stadium, a new turf and track, at Mattawan Consolidated School. It will be held at 6:45 p.m., just prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff of the first home football game. Game admission is required to attend. The stadium will be renovated in multiple phases, with Stadium Work, Phase 2 planned to get underway in the summer of 2026. It will include renovations to the current press box and the addition of a new sound system, as well as the completion of the home bleacher facing. Stadium Work, Phase 3 will include the construction of a new entryway and concession on the south end of the current stadium, as well as cosmetic improvements to the current entryway on the north side of the stadium.
