Mother Nature reminds us we live in Michigan

Lake Auto Value was posted on Harrison Matters’ Facebook page. Other business also saw flooding.
April 2nd brought snow and sleet to Winterfield Township fields

While April 1st would have been a bit more perfect of a day to wake up to snow, freezing rain, ice, hail, rain, and high winds, it seems like Mother Nature is throwing Michiganders – and many other Midwesterners – a curveball, by delivering all of the above in the wee hours of Wednesday, April 2nd.
Most of us here in Mid-Michigan awoke to enough snow to shovel the walkways, a wonderful assault of freezing rain and sleet to stab us in the eyes as we tried to warm up our cars and clear them of snow, and high winds to make the lower temperatures extra special.
While we are still awaiting the thunder storms forecasted Wednesday evening while this is going to press, Accuweather is calling for potential inches of rain. While it will warm up over-night, flooding in some areas is expected as well, so YIPEE, spring is here?
There were power outages in Harrison as well -not sure if power has been restored as of this press time – and flooding for sure. Facebook saw a post on the “Lake Auto Value” and several other Harrison businesses also saw water logged parking areas.
