Are you the parent or guardian of a kindergarten student who attends Plain-well Community Schools? If so, you may want to mark your calendar for an upcoming informational meeting introducing the My Future Fund program, which will roll out for all PCS kindergarten students beginning next month.
Information about the program has been sent home with students, sharing details about an opportunity available to all 2025-26 Plainwell Community Schools kindergarten students through the Allegan County Community Foundation. The My Future Fund program is designed to help students begin saving for their future at an early age.
Families are invited to attend a free kickoff event celebrating the launch of the program on Wednesday, January 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Plainwell High School cafeteria, located at 684 Starr Road.
Kindergarten students and their families can enjoy a night of pizza, snacks and activity stations hosted by community partners, along with opportunities to learn more about how the My Future Fund program works. Students who attend will receive a $5 incentive deposited into their account, with chances to earn additional incentives throughout the evening.
Families planning to attend are asked to RSVP in ad-vance and include the total number of people in their household who will be at-tending. The sign-up form is available online at: https://myfutureaccf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list/event?event_date_id=1002
Those with questions about the My Future Fund program are encouraged to contact their student’s school building after winter break for more information.
