It’s here! Holland Hospital will herald opening of its new 16,940-square-foot medical building at 6490 Blue Star Hwy., Saugatuck Township, with a community open house Wednesday, May 8, from 3 to 6 p.m.
The facility, which officially opens May 13, will expand healthcare services to patients across Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, Hamilton, Allegan, South Haven and surrounding communities.
It will offer access to primary care, lab, radiology plus physical therapy and rehab services.
The open house will allow guests the opportunity to meet healthcare providers and experts during self-guided tours, ask one-on-one questions, enjoy appetizers and giveaway items.
The new state-of-the-art center boasts a covered drop-off area, easy-to-navigate lobby, 12 exam rooms with space for two more in the future, two procedure rooms, a dedicated lab with two private draw rooms, radiology services including X-ray, echocardiograms and ultrasounds, plus a spacious physical therapy and rehab space.
Holland Hospital has provided lab and physical therapy/rehab services in Douglas for years, in 2014 opening a family medicine office at 415 Wiley Road with area physician Jason Myers, DO, who will move his practice to the new building.
“We are thrilled,” said hospital CEO Patti VanDort, “to unveil the Holland Hospital Medical Building in Saugatuck, making high-quality healthcare even more accessible to area residents.

In addition to Myers, the center will welcome primary care physicians Betsy Beckman, MD; Lauren McGraw, DO; and Nathan Wass, DO, to the office. Beckman, McGraw and Wass are accepting new patients now.
Holland Hospital has served West Michigan for more than 100 years with facilities in Holland, Zeeland, Grand Haven, Douglas and South Haven.
