Maintenance on Fourth Street continues
City of Sturgis tree maintenance contractor is working on Fourth Street, from Chicago Road to Congress Street, through June 27.
At times, those streets will be closed as crews use a crane as part of the work process.
Officials urge people to use caution in those areas, and seek alternate routes if possible.

School board OK’s partnerships
On June 16, Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education approved renewal of its food service contract with Taher, and a partnership with Miller Davis for construction management.
The board also confirmed a collaboration with Corner Health for “Student Help and Healing Center,” currently located at Eastwood Elementary, that will move to 155 E. Chicago Road, at Medical Commons 2, so the center can resume care of patients up to age 21.
Corner Health will hire the center’s current staff members, a certified medical assistant and a family nurse practitioner, so there will be no change with staffing.
Administrators anticipate transition to the new site to take place sometime in July.
