No injuries in Union Township fire

No injuries were reported in a house fire in Union Township Tuesday afternoon.
Mt. Pleasant Firefighters had a house fire in Union Township under control in minutes Tuesday afternoon and no one was injured in the blaze.
Firefighters were called the fire in the home in the 5000 block of Brindle Lane, located in The Copper Estates subdivision (off Crawford Road, south of Deerfield)at 4;14 pm.
They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the two-story home, and were able to control the blaze in just over 20 minutes, according to information from Darcy A. Orlik, MP Director of Public Relations.
She reported smoke, heat and fire damage to the home.
The cause remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Mt. Pleasant Police, Saginaw- Chippewa Tribal Fire Department, Mobile Medical Response Ambulance Service and Isabell County Central Dispatch.
