THREE RIVERS — Firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire that occurred in Three Rivers Monday.
According to the Three Rivers Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched early Monday morning to a two-story building in the 500 block of North Main Street, where the house showed smoke and fire coming from a first-floor apartment.
After what they called an “aggressive interior attack,” the fire was under control within five minutes of firefighters’ arrival. No injuries were reported, and all occupants were able to exit the building safely, with firefighters giving credit to working smoke alarms.
TRFD was assisted at the scene by the Fabius-Park Fire Department, Centreville Fire Department, St. Joseph County Central Dispatch, and the Three Rivers Police Department.
