Betty Turner, 84, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully, April 28, 2024, at White Oaks Nursing Assisted Living, Lawton. Betty was born in Danville, Alabama, Oct. 3, 1939, to Adell and Arley Weaver.
She married Bobby Turner Oct. 10, 1955, in Iuka, Mississippi.
Betty was the matriarch of the family. She was the oldest of nine siblings. Betty’s family was her utmost love. She never forgot her roots.
Betty would travel with Bob to Alabama several times a year. When not traveling, you could find her at home in Michigan entertaining friends and family. When she was not entertaining, you could find her outside gardening or suntanning.
Betty was preceded in death by both parents, Adell and Arley Weaver; husband, Bobby Turner; sisters, Bobbie Tyria of Mattawan, and Patsy Gersch of Lawton; brother, Steven Weaver of Paw Paw; and special companion, LaMoine Curtis of Paw Paw.
She is survived by two children, Crystal (Don) Harris of Lawton, and Jeffery Turner of Gobles; grandson, Donald (Tracy Grybus) Harris of Lawton; two great-grandsons, Jordan Harris of Kalamazoo, and Zachary (Jordyn) Harris of Paw Paw; four sisters, Peggy Mihelich of Paw Paw, Shelby Waite of Paw Paw, Helen Gronau of Paw Paw, and Joni Klees of Dowagiac; one brother, Tom Weaver of Paw Paw; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were invited to visit Friday, May 3, at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where funeral services followed with the Rev. Mike Heflin officiating. Burial followed at Cuddeback Cemetery, Paw Paw.
