Calvin Lee Crenshaw Jr., age 67, of Albion, Michigan passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Jackson Hospice. He was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Albion, Michigan to Calvin Lee and Annie Mae (Smith) Crenshaw.
He was a graduate of Albion Senior High School. Calvin worked for Harvard Industries in Albion, Michigan where he had worked for 26 years. After Calvin left Harvard Industries, he worked at Hylex, AC Foundry and other companies prior to his retirement in 2019. Calvin was a member of Holy Life Temple Church in Albion, Michigan. Calvin enjoyed cooking, dressing in the latest clothes, cars, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Calvin leaves behinds his spouse Brenzetta Wilson of 40 years. His three children, Calvin Lee Allen (Tara) Crenshaw of Jackson, Michigan, Phelicia Showers of Toledo Ohio, and Lawrence (Punkin) Jordan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four sisters, Delores (Louis) Whitehead of Sylvania, Ohio; Gloria (Berry) Brown of Toledo, Ohio; Patricia (Charles) Shellman of Albion; Bernice Wilson of Jackson; Three brothers, Countee (Patsy) Wilson of Albion, Carl (Synka) Wilson of Albion, Ricky (Debra) Wilson of Jackson, Terry (Sonya) Wilson of Jackson, and Tony Wilson of Battle Creek Michigan; Four grandchildren Ava and Callen Crenshaw, Daimarr and Brenzetta Marshall; Six bonus grandchildren of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and special nieces, Kenny and Brionna Crenshaw of Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Crenshaw Sr. and his mother, Annie Mae Smith-Crenshaw. One sister, Shirley Ann Crenshaw and one brother, Robert Allen Crenshaw.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, 711 Grace St., in Albion, with Pastor Bradford Hall of Holy Life Temple Church of Albion, Michigan officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, from 5-8 p.m., at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, in Albion.
