Carol Ann (Hendershot) Watson, age 75, of Traverse City, MI passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 26, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Earl “Blackie” and Lila (Bowman) Hendershot. She graduated from Farwell Area High School in 1966 and soon after moved to Texarkana, TX, where she pursued cosmetology. Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, watching movies, listening to music, and playing cards. She was always willing to help others in need whether it meant cooking a hot meal for neighbors, crocheting blankets to keep them warm through the winter, or sharing snacks with friends. She loved being a mother and held great love for her children. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Suzanne “Suzi” Hindman, of Olive Branch, MS, her brother Gary (Sandy) Hendershot of Lake, MI and her nephew and nieces. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffery L. Watson, her parents, her brother Earl (Vern) Hendershot, and her sister Vicki (Hendershot) Weaver. Carol’s sweet soul and giving spirit will forever be remembered by her family and friends. The family would like to recognize and thank the staff and residents of Green Acres AFC for the love and wonderful care they gave Carol during the last few years. She made many friendships with fellow residents and loved the staff like family. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11 A.M. in the Garfield Twp. Cemetery in Lake with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Memorial contributions in honor of Carol may be directed to the Green Acres AFC of Traverse City (127 Potter Rd. W., Traverse City, MI 49696).
