Dennis LeRoy Hawley, age 78 of Lake, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at home. Dennis was born the son of Harold and Virginia (Clarke) Hawley on July 26, 1946 in Northampton, Massachusetts. He had served his Country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dennis was united in marriage to Susan Lynn Pagano on November 16, 1968. He had worked as an electrical Engineer in the Telecommunications field and upon retirement had moved to Lake of the Pines from Brighton in 2014. Dennis enjoyed volunteering at the MyMichigan Medical Center’s Emergency Room in Clare; working as a Ranger at the Snow Snake Golf Course, as well as serving on the Board of Directors at the Lake of the Pines. He loved feeding the birds and wildlife at his home, his dog, and living on the lake.
Dennis is survived by his wife Susan; children Lesley Reagan of Evanston, Illinois and Phillip Hawley of Lake, and a grandson Jackson Reagan. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, and brothers William Sherman and Steve Hawley.
