Obituary: Dyna Lee Stevens

Dyna Lee Stevens, 79 of Merrill, died Sunday, January 26, 2025 at My MI Medical Center in Midland. She was born May 3, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Herdlein) Zingg. Dyna graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and worked at Campbell-Zingg Lumber Company before moving to Midland and working for Jam Store in Mt. Haley Township. Dyna loved taking care of her grandchildren, feeding her birds, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and even took time to work at her daughter’s candle shop. Dyna is survived by her husband Ronald Stevens; son and daughter: Rick (Chris Bollinger) Onstott and Renea (Randy Renner) Roberts, all of Farwell; grandchildren, Sadie and Kyler Phillips, and Jack and Paige Onstott; brother, Jim (Jacqueline) Zingg of Florida, and half-brother Bill (Rochelle) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Carol) Stevens of Elsie and Bruce (Laurie) Stevens of Midland, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Katherine (Radosa) Stevens, brother Harold Zingg and a brother-in-law Edward Stevens.

Funeral services for Dyna will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Deacon Aloysius Oliver will officiate followed by graveside committal services in St. Patrick Cemetery-Ryan, Mt. Haley Township. Dyna’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the donor’s favorite charity. All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Stevens’ family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
