In loving memory of Harland Lloyd (Bud) Hunt of Lake, Michigan. Bud passed away at Woodland Hospice House of Mt Pleasant surrounded by family and friends on January 27, 2025, at the age of 83 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 25, 1942, to Floyd and Sara (Buckley) Hunt and lived all of his life in the Lake area. Bud served two years during Vietnam and served several years on the Lake volunteer fire Department. Bud was proceeded in death by his wife Connie for 35 years. His parents Floyd and Sara Hunt, brothers William and Harold Hunt and sister Grace Brog. He is survived by his daughter Kristin (Dave) Ruckle and their three children, Lyndsey (Devin) Weber, Emily (James) Simon, grandson Tyley Ruckle and two great grandchildren. Two sons Kurt and Kent Hunt. He is also survived by his special friend of many years Dorothy Laight. Her children Christina (John) Webster and their children Jayne Wakefield and Jessica (Jordan) Babbitt with their children Haley and Diana. Also, Jack (Ashile) Redburn along with their children Gavin and Brynn who always referred to him as Buddy. Bud enjoyed spending time with family and going to sporting events for his grandchildren. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be on March 1, 2025 at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow at Community Christ Church in Lake with Pastor John Jakus of Faith Fellowship Church of St Johns, MI as officiant.
