Jeanne Grevelding, 95, of Paw Paw, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Maple Lake Assisted Living, Paw Paw. She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Bath, New York, the daughter of Henry Kleckler and Blanche (Ray) Kleckler.
Jeanne met her husband, Bill, in New York and was married July 12, 1952. She enjoyed a 30-year career working as a second grade elementary school teacher. Jeanne always felt the second grade was the perfect time to get children interested in education. She donated her time to Lake View Hospital, Paw Paw, where she volunteered with the Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed years of traveling with her parents and family. Around her home, Jeanne took pride in maintaining her extensive flower gardens. She also enjoyed quilting, needlepoint and sewing.
She leaves behind her two devoted sons, William Grevelding, and Thomas Grevelding; along with her cherished daughter, Margaret (Dana) Stiffler; her grandchildren, Evan (Crystal) Stiffler and Edward (Jordi) Granger; as well as her great-grandchildren, Scott Stiffler and Ana Smith.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, William Grevelding, Dec. 5, 2018, and her sister, Mildred Kleckler.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, April 27, at noon at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
