Jerrold Fay Rodgers age 90 of rural Lake George, Michigan passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at his home. Jerrold was born February 1, 1934 in Marion, Michigan the son of Roy Perry Rodgers and Rachel Christie (England) Rodgers. Jerrold was united in marriage to Ms. Barbara Ilene Goff in 1953. Mrs. Rodgers preceded Jerrold in death in 1974.
Mr. Rodgers retired from Buick Motors of Flint, Michigan in 1995 after many years of dedicated service. Jerrold had resided in Lake George since 1996, moving from Montrose, Michigan. Jerrold was a 32nd degree Mason as well as a Shriner. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #11416 of Montrose and was also a member of the Ever Ready Club of Marion. Jerrold was very passionate about restoring automobiles as well as collecting them. He enjoyed planting flowers, vegetable gardening, working in his yard, supporting Leader Dogs For the Blind.
Surviving Mr. Rodgers are his three loving children; Elaine Faye Rodgers of Montrose, Roy Arthur Rodgers of Birch Run, Michigan and Bethany Lynn Larkin of Lake George, eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, two sisters; Joyce and Josie and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings; Donna Jean, Pearl, Lyle and Frank.
Funeral services honoring Mr. Rodgers will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service under the auspices of John J. Carton Lodge #436 F.& A.M. officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in Montrose Cemetery, Montrose.
