Jill Anita Kidder, age 73, lost her battle with cancer Oct. 6, 2024, at Bronson Battle Creek surrounded by loved ones. She was born to John and Helen Alexander on April 16, 1951, in Marshall, MIichigan.
Jill graduated from Marshall High in 1969. She married Douglas J. Kidder on June 1, 1974 at the Marshall United Methodist Church, Marshall, Michigan. With her illness, Jill had a goal of celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary with Doug, family and friends, which she rallied for.
Jill retired from Felpausch (Family Fare) after 26 years of working the service counter and videostore. She enjoyed serving the people of Marshall in that capacity.
Jill loved riding motorcycles and she and Doug covered countless miles together on them, attending many rallies and charity events and making friends.
Jill was a member of the Marshall VFW Auxiliary and held several different positions. She was extremely proud of her service in helping our National heroes.
In the later years of her life, Jill found a new love with the local musicians and their bands. She could be found several times a week following her favorites at any of their venues.
Jill was always thinking of others and often put their happiness over her own. She loved to give gifts to make someone’s day better and never would miss a party. She had many hobbies and was a very talented artist.
Jill is survived by her husband, Douglas J. Kidder; Sons: Kip (Brooke) Kidder and Dion (Kasey) Kidder; Sisters: Susan (William) Traver and Gayle “Joy” Hughes; Grandchildren: Sabrina (Jonathan) Cochran, Justin Gibson, Brian Madry, Dion Kidder Jr., Ivy (Kyle) Oliver, James Kidder, Tatiana Kucerak; and eight great-grandchildren.
She had a very special granddaughter, Jadelyne (Devin) Iles, and many, many orphans, you know who you are.
Jill will always be remembered for flying the Kidder wave!
