Jo Ann Raymond, age 85 of Clare, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at Pioneer Golden Estates in Clare. Jo was born the daughter of George and Cora (Wilson) Conklin on February 5, 1939 in Flint. She was united in marriage to Jack Raymond on December 22, 1956 with him predeceasing her on October 26, 2001. Jo was a longtime member of the Clare United Methodist Church and had later attended the Eagle Church of God with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed belonging to her quilting group and being outdoors tending to her flower beds and lawn. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was fiercely proud of all her kids and grandkids. She loved to support her grans academically and by being their biggest (loudest!) fan at sporting events and school activities. Jo was happiest when all her family were together.
Jo is survived by her sons Patrick (Tina) Raymond of Coleman and George (Zan) Raymond of Inman, South Carolina; her daughters Jill (James) Boardman of Tampa, Florida and Jackie Adams of South Carolina; two sisters Carol Mose and Shirley (Dick) Seeback both of Durand; five grandchildren, Jack, Shelby, Austin, Justin and Jackson. Jo was predeceased by her parents, a brother Don Conklin, and a son-in-law Wayne Adams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 22nd at 12:30pm at the Eagle Church of God, 7087 E. Dover Rd. Clare, MI 48617. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Eagle Church of God in Jo’s name would be put to good use. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
