John Wesley Robart went home to Heaven to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of June 12, 2024, at the age of 98. John was born October 22, 1925, to Wesley and Viona Robart of Bloomingdale. John (Bud) was a World War II Veteran who served in the United States Navy, 1943-1946 and was stationed in Guam with the Seabees. John and Donna (Schanz) were married on June 26, 1948, and built the home in which they lived for 73 years. John worked in Kalamazoo at Brundage Company and PEMCO. John and Donna raised a large garden and had an orchard of 44 trees of various kinds. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home and staying at their lake cottage on Osterhout Lake. John and Donna were active at Horseshoe Community Bible Church, Grand Junction, as long as they were able to attend.
John was preceded in Homegoing by his wife, Donna, on May 21, 2024, and his granddaughter Jennifer, on January 8, 1967. He is survived by his daughter Ruth (Steve) Beem, his daughter Marilyn (Tom) Stout, his son Jerry (Rose), his son Ken (Angela), 13 grandchildren: Tammy Haynes, Larry Beem, Thaddeus Stout, Joshua Stout, Jared Stout, Christina (Stout) Hartman, Thomas Stout II, Caleb Stout, Rachel (Robart) Flickinger, Brandon Robart, Luke Robart, Madeline Robart, Amelia Robart; 21 great grandchildren: Destyni Haynes, Brianna Flickinger, Scotty Flickinger, Gracesyn Flickinger, Cayla Stout (Rodesiler), Jenna Stout, Leah Stout, Austin Stout, Nathaniel Stout, Tyson Stout, Bryce Stout, Vanessa Stout, Daphne Stout, Sullivan Stout, Inara Stout, Zander Stout, Archer Stout, Lucian Stout, Larkyn Stout, Mirielle Stout, Oraylia Stout; and four great-great grandchildren: Marshall Stout, Harrison Stout, Elias Stout, Lindsay Stout.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, at 1:00 P.M. at Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge St., Allegan. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 P.M. A committal service will follow at Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Center with Navy Honors.
