Obituary: Larry Lee Levi

Larry Lee Levi passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Larry was born December 10, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan. Larry enjoyed the family home he built along with his wife and children’s help in Lake George, Michigan in 1976. Many fond memories were had boating, 4-wheeling in dads International Scout with friends, snowmobiling, and campfires with family and lifelong friends. The Levi family has a long history in Lake George, as dads’ great grandparents Vincent Levi and Dina Levi built the first Levi cabin back in 1924. Dad’s passion was classic cars, he would spend many a Sunday, rising early to be the first at a car show to get the best spot in the shade and where he could watch all his favorite classic cars come by and listen to the 50’s music from his generation. Dad’s pride and passion was his classic 1957 Chevy Belair which won him numerous trophies, which he proudly displayed in his garage. When not at a car show you could find him after a hard day’s work relaxing in his hammock on the porch taking a well-deserved rest.
At very young age dad enlisted in 1956 in the Naval reserves for two years, and later served four years in the Air Force as an Airmen 2nd Class working on aircrafts as an Air Force electrician in Omaha, NB at OFFUT Air Force base. After serving his country he returned to Saginaw where he was employed by General Motors as Paymaster in Office Services for over 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Beverly Ann (Brown) Levi; children, son Tony Levi (Sally Trom) of Mazeppa, MN, daughter Deborah (Levi) McCall (Don McCall) of Mazeppa, MN; grandchildren, Kelle Jardine (Rasmussen) & (Chris Jardine) of Baldwin, WI, Levi Rasmussen (Emma Lawler) of Zumbrota, MN, Vincent Levi of Fargo, ND, Sophie Levi (Husby) Nathan Husby of Duluth, MN, Jolene Levi of Burnsville, MN, and great grandchildren, Winston Jardine, Dawson Jardine, Josie Jardine and many lifelong friends; his sister Laura (Levi) List of Harrison, MI; niece Jamie List (Kyle Rau) of Coleman, MI, and extended family the Agnellos.
