Madelyn D. Arnold, age 82 of Farwell passed away on Wednesday, April 24, at 5:15 pm, in Mt. Pleasant at the Woodland Hospice House.
Madelyn was born the daughter of Percy VanBuskirk and Elsie VanBuskirk on July 11, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant. Madelyn was united in marriage to L.D Hinkle and then to Jeff Arnold Sr.
Madelyn was preceded in death by her parents, both of her spouses, sister, Bonnie Nowlen; brother, Billy VanBuskirk; brothers-in-law, Gary Farnham and Harry Nowlen; and sister-in-law, Doris VanBuskirk.
Madelyn is survived by her son, Ona Hinkle, 3 grandsons: Tony Hinkle, of Beaverton, Fred Hinkle, of Shepherd and Bradley Hinkle of Weidman; one beautiful granddaughter, Sophia Hinkle of Beaverton; brothers, Larry VanBuskirk of Weidman, Don (Deanna) VanBuskirk of Shepherd and Gary (Rose) VanBuskirk of Edmore; sister, Mary Farnham of Traverse City; sister-in-law, Kathy VanBuskirk of Farwell and many nieces and nephews.
Madelyn was a beautician for many years. She loved cutting hair and talking to her clients. Madelyn was a very spiritual lady.
In lieu of flowers, Madelyn has requested donations be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging or the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.
There will be a gathering in the summer to celebrate the life of Madelyn.
