Obituary: Maxine Garver Warner

Maxine Garver Warner, age 76, of Farwell left this world on September 28, 2024 to go home to see her earthly father whom she missed dearly, and her Heavenly Father who we know welcomed her with open arms. Maxine was born the eldest daughter of the late Walter J and Beatrice Garver on June 14, 1948. She graduated from Farwell High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Greg Warner on December 1, 1995 in Farwell. She had worked in accounting for Giant Super Market main office and later for STT, Inc. After retirement, she volunteered for Stone Soup in Farwell, His Helping Hands of Clare County in Harrison, and did accounting for the Harrison United Brethern Church. She also drove for the Amish Community, which she greatly enjoyed and made many friends. Maxine was happiest when with her family and loved them dearly. Her children and grandchildren were the lights in her life and she loved to watch them in all their sporting and school activities. They could always count on her to be there when they looked into the crowd. Survivors include her husband Greg; Children Jeff (Lindsey) Carncross of  Wasilla, Alaska; Kristen (Alex)Warner of  Ashville, NC; Cassie Warner of Rockford, MI; Jessie (Keith) Warner Haag of Farwell, MI. Grandchildren Chad (Haley), Cody, Jeffrey (Alethea), Rylee, Alyssa, Ashlynn, Amelia, Cora, Josie, Carter (Bailey), Kameron (Scott) Caitlyn. Siblings Walter (Sherry) Garver, Joyce (Chuck) Lake, David (Brenda) Garver, Sharon Garver and many nieces and nephews.  Sister in-law Kathy (Greg Wood) Warner.  Best friends Wendy Kindel, Connie Lewis and Jan Wooden. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter J and Beatrice Garver, parents in-law Frank and Edith Warner, and brothers in-law Todd Warner and Kent Warner. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Clare Church of the Nazarene.  Visitation will start at 11:00 am followed by the service at noon. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to His Helping Hands of Clare County, P O Box 351, Clare, MI 48617 or to Hospice of Michigan 932 N Mitchell Street, Cadillac, MI 49601.
