Michael E. Mussell, age 46 of Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 6, 2025. On September 6, 1978, Michael was born the youngest of three children to Donald and Mary (Zimmerman) Mussell in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Michael lived his entire life in the Central Michigan area and was a graduate of the Clare High School Class of 1996. Following High School, he attended automotive repair classes at Mid Michigan Community College. During his earliest working years, Michael worked as a pipeline inspector with the Mears Group, and later for BGL. Michael had a passion for mechanics and working on cars. He also enjoyed 80’s and 90’s rock and county, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
Michael is survived by his mother Mary Mussell and his sons Chase and Maddock Mussell, all of whom reside in Lake, MI. He is also survived by his brother Stewart (Natalie) Mussell of N.D., his sister Shelly (Jeff) Wadian of OH., and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father Donald Mussell.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service in honor of Michael will take place at the Clare Christ Fellowship Church on a date yet to be determined.
