Obituary: Patricia “Patty” Lee Parliament (Angle)

Patricia “Patty” Lee Parliament (Angle), 63, of Iron Station, NC, passed away Friday, January 31 st , 2025 – a day before her 64 th birthday. Patty was born to the late Robert and Roberta (Kellogg) Angle on February 1 st , 1961 in Kalamazoo, MI.
After graduating from Allegan High School, Patty earned her bachelor’s degree from Albion College in Physical Education. She proved she was not only an academic scholar, but a talented collegiate athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She then earned her master’s degree from Michigan State University in Exercise Physiology. After college, Patty accepted a position as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation in Ludington, MI, where she met the love of her life, Brad. They were married on April 30 th , 1988 with a very blessed marriage for over 36 years. They loved spending time together traveling, going to concerts, and being part of social events with friends. They were inseparable and Brad was her rock.
When she was 8 months pregnant with her first child, Patty unexpectedly encountered a health challenge that left her disabled. A short time after, her daughter Allison was born. Patty used her experience as an exercise physiologist to improve her health, allowing her to stay at home with her child. 8 years later, Patty was blessed with a second daughter, Brooklyn. She enjoyed being part of parent-teacher organizations, coaching her daughters’ sports, and being active in her neighborhood. Patty also liked to participate in community groups and volunteered at the local hospitals.
Patty was a women who loved with such openness to others and loved to have a good time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana to her adorable three grandsons. She found joy in spending time with her grandkids, spoiling them through goodies, baking, and lots of snuggles.
When Patty turned 50, she discovered she had heart failure, and received a heart transplant at 60 years old. Despite her health challenges, she faced them all with a resilient attitude and positive joyous spirit. Never once did she have fear due to her faith in God and Jesus Christ.
Patty is dearly loved and missed. In addition to her husband, Bradley, her memory will always remain eternal in the hearts of her girls, Allison (Peter) Eulenstein and Brooklyn (Tyler) Harvey; three grandsons, Charlie (4.5), Nicholas (3), and Luke (18m); siblings, Robert (Marcia) Angle Jr. and Steve Angle; sister-in-law, Gayle (George) Towns; brother-in-law, Scott Parliament; her aunt, Sue Angle; numerous nephews and nieces, as well as other relatives and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Otsego, MI on Saturday, February 22nd from 1:00-1:45p.m. for visiting with the family. A program will start at 2 p.m. at Lynx Golf Course for any persons wanting to attend. Due to weather in MI, the floral shop asks orders to be placed by Wednesday the 19 th of that week.
An additional Celebration of Life will take place in Denver, NC on Saturday, March 15th from 1:00-1:45p.m. to visit with the family. A program will start at 2 p.m. at The Cove Church-Denver Campus for any person wanting to attend. Interment will be at Schoolcraft Cemetery for family only.
Memorial donations in Patty’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital of Children, or Ronald McDonald House.
