Peggy Lynn Shamblin, 70, passed away January 16, 2025, after an extended period of illness. She was born November 24, 1954, to Paul & Lillian (Scott) Knapp of Pullman, Michigan. She was the youngest child, having two older siblings, Patrick Knapp and Brenda (Knapp) Laraway.
She graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 1973 and then worked for L. Perrigo Company for over 20 years. She is fondly remembered by many friends and family for her short height and her sweet, but feisty spirit. In her younger days, she loved dancing to her favorite tunes at weddings, social gatherings, or even while cleaning the house on a Saturday afternoon. In 2016, she reconnected with her special friend Lyle Linsemier, who became the love of her life. She spent her remaining years in quiet happiness with him.
Peggy was blessed with two daughters, Lisa Hunt and Brandy (Davis) Yntema; as well as three grandchildren, Kaun, Lily, and Neil. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; multiple nephews and their families; her beloved, Lyle Linsemier, and many long-time friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Brethren Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
