Obituary: Peggy Rose (Thompson) Arnsman

Peggy Rose (Thompson) Arnsman passed peacefully on December 1, 2024, at Home in Hopkins, Michigan. She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on April 3, 1937, to her late parents Richard and Alice (Rose) Thompson. Peggy grew up in Hopkins, attended Western Michigan University achieving a master’s degree in Library Science. She worked faithfully at Hopkins Public School as the Librarian for 23 years. Peggy also shared over 68 years of marriage with her late Husband Lee “Pete” Arnsman.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Arnsman; daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Arnsman; siblings Jerry Thompson, Hannah Pogodzinski, Richard Paul Thompson II (Junior); great-grand daughter Bryanna Rose Stone.
She is survived by her children, Melanie (John) Richards, Melvin Arnsman and Marcia Arnsman-Stone; siblings Joan (Bill) Riksen, Marjory (Ike) Smith, Kay Ann (Richard) Petterson, Denise L. Thompson; and grandchildren, Harley Stone, Jasmine Stone, Amanda Rose Weber, Kimberly Kompier, Kevin Stone, Eric Arnsman, Jody Richards and Bill Richards.
Evening visitation for Peggy will be Thursday, December 5th, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, December 6th, starting at 11:00am at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Visitation starting at 10:00am. Graveside Service to follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
