Phyllis N. Campbell, age 88 of Farwell, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Provision Living at East Lansing. Phyllis was born the daughter of the late Bruce and Dorothy (Hazen) McCormick on August 17, 1936 in Manistique. She was united in Marriage to Bernice “Buddy” Campbell who predeceased her on August 7, 2014. Phyllis had worked in the Lansing Public Schools in the Food Service Department. She and Buddy had moved to the Lake 13 area near Farwell in 1994. Phyllis enjoyed traveling and visiting Casino’s; she liked listening to Country Music as well as Elvis. She was a member of the Clare Moose Lodge and the Clare/Farwell American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons Bob (Linda) Randall of Vermontville, Raymond (Ruth) Miller of Lansing and Charlie (Gay Bauer) Miller of Farwell; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two brothers Robert and Gary (Cindy) McCormick.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clare Moose Lodge on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from noon until 2 P.M. In Lieu of Flowers memorials are suggested to the Clare/Farwell American Legion’s Building Fund. Burial will take place privately in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery in Farwell.
