Sandra Dee Brainerd, 64, of Plainwell/Otsego, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10th, surrounded by her family. Sandra spent much of her career at Specialty Minerals in Plainwell, where she was known for her tenacity and strong work ethic. In her later years, after retiring, she moved to Otsego and enjoyed working with her son to help manage their local properties, finding pleasure in connecting with residents in the Otsego and Kalamazoo communities. Beyond her professional life, Sandra raised her children in Plainwell and was deeply passionate about her two sons and grandchildren, taking immense pride in supporting their endeavors and watching their successes. Sandra was a woman of faith, devoted to her relationship with God and her community at Otsego Church of God. Her unwavering belief was a guiding light in her life and an inspiration to those around her. Sandra is survived by her loving sons, Kenneth Martin and Charles Parker (and his wife, Sara Parker); her cherished grandchildren, Charles Parker and Brendan McKenzie; her sister, Sarah Brainerd; her brother, Ronald Brainerd; and her father, Donald Brainerd. She will be welcomed to heaven by her mother, Dolores Brainerd (Stantz), and her brother, David Brainerd. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
