Stanley Truman Fankhauser, 89, of South Boardman, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was born to the late Fred and Reba (Logan) Fankhauser on April 23, 1933 in Marion, Michigan. Stanley was married to his wife and the love of his life Gladys (Rhodes) Fankhauser for over 67 years. Together they raised three children. He was a pipeline welder and member of Union 798. Stanley proudly served our country in the Korean War. Stanley was a true outdoorsman spending much time hunting, fishing, hiking, river floating and camping. He was also a private pilot. Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his wife; children Steven (Sue) Fankhauser, Bryan Fankhauser and Janet Gilman; grandchildren Nathan (Rebecca) Fankhauser and Stephanie Billmaier; great-grandchildren Abigail and Waylon Fankhauser. A celebration of life took place at the family home on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
