Passed away Sunday, September 15th, 2024 at his home. Steve was born August 12, 1956 in Sault Ste Marie Michigan, son of the late Howard and Lorraine Pope, and lived the majority of his life in the area. Steve had worked until retirement for GM, retiring in 2006. After that, he worked for his daughter and son in law at Starbuck Machining. Steve loved being outside and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially golfing. More than anything, Steve cherished his family and loved spending time with his grandkids.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years Pam; 3 children, Amy (Aaron) Starbuck, Stacy (Chad) Pope, Christopher (Jennay) Pope; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, Allison, Devin; 2 bonus grandchildren, Parker and Gabriella; a sister Sharolyn Mitchell; several nieces, nephews and great friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Howard and Stewart Pope.
