Vickie was born on October 28, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Donald and Florence (Baxter) Roberts. She married Albert Vander Velpen on April 4, 1975, in Chicago, IL. Vickie spent many years as a bank teller, working in Evart, Farwell, and Clare. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters and was always up for any kind of adventure. She enjoyed being the life of the party. She loved going on car rides to explore light houses and waterfalls. She was an avid shopper who could rarely pass up on a yard/garage sale, enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, and always enjoying a good Diet Coke. She had a true heart of gold and will be remembered for giving the best hugs and for always having a supporting shoulder to lean on.
Vickie is survived by her son, Alan (Chelsea) Vander Velpen of Farwell; two granddaughters, Adaline and Evelyn; and son, Albert J. (Cindy) Vander Velpen of Waukesha, WI
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Albert in 2015.
