THREE RIVERS — One person was injured in a fire that occurred at a residence in Three Rivers Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Three Rivers Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at 4:01 p.m. to the 500 block of Ninth Street, where they found heavy fire on the main floor of a house with heavy smoke coming from the second floor. Residents in the house had reportedly exited the house prior to firefighters’ arrival.
The fire was brought under control after firefighters entered the home and used hoses in the front and back of the residence. One resident of the house had burn injuries from the fire and was transported to Three Rivers Health for evaluation.
Firefighters say the house had “significant” fire and smoke damage throughout. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
