MARION – The Osceola County Board of Commissioners, voted to not move forward with economic development until after the August Primary.
“There was some concerns that we have some millages coming up and those didn’t pass we’ll probably take a hard look at the budget and decide what we’re going to do,” commissioner Roger Elkins of Evart said. “There was a feeling among the commissioners to wait.”
The commissioners voted to approve discontinuing the Brownfield plan for the 110 N. Main St. property in Hersey and reimburse the monies to the local unit.
“That had been established quite some time ago,” Elkins said. “We haven’t had any expenses to pay.”
The commissioners voted to approve the COA Director to work with the backup contractor to obtain a start date at the COA in Hersey if the original contractor cannot start this week.
The board voted to approve soliciting requests for list of proposals for a Realtor to list the COA Evart building.
Commissioners voted to approve the board chair to sign the emergency management grant agreement.
The board approved the $6,600 change order for the ambulance remount.
Commissioners approved the purchase of eight new mattresses for EMS stations at a cost of $2,272 from Fabulous Furniture Finds and More.
