The Paw Paw boys soccer Red Wolves recently played the Kalamazoo Home School Cougars at home and played to a 0-0 tie on Monday, Aug. 25.
Spencer Peruski had the shut out in goal. The back line of Connor Graves, Alex Groner, Isaac Hefner and Avery Williford battled all night to limit the offensive chances. Daniel Diaz led the attack through the middle of the field creating a dozen scoring opportunities.
“The Paw Paw JVs lost 6-1 with the lone goal coming on a beautiful run by Colby Barnett,” coach Mike Lounsbury said. “Both halves featured strong goalie play by Lex Lounsbury and Alejandro Garcia.”
In previous games Paw Paw beat Hartford 2-1 on the road on Aug. 21 and lost 5-1 at Mattawan on Aug 19.
This week, Paw Paw was scheduled to play at home on Aug. 27 with Marshall and at home on Aug. 28 with Constantine and will come back
after the Labor Day holiday at Niles on Sept. 3 and home with St. Joseph on Sept. 6 and at Wyoming Potter’s House Christian on Sept. 8.
