Varsity continued the strong night with a 2-1 win. Caleb Kenyon scored a volley off his backside from a perfect cross from Grant Sholander early in the half. The offense controlled the ball and had several quality chances but the opposing goalie made several great saves. The game went to half tied 1-1. The Wolves pressed the attack in the second half and got on the board as Enzo Tavela cut past the defenders before getting tripped in the box for a pk. Enzo stepped up and buried the shot lower right. The boys finished the night with a 2-1 win.
“Daniel Diaz, Santiago Nava and Lex Lounsbury combined all night to dominate the middle of the field,” Mike Lounsbury said. “The defense held strong all night led by birthday boy Captain Isaac Heffner.”
