With temperatures in the mid-60s, the 43rd annual Van Buren County CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Walk was held Sunday afternoon, April 27. Stepping off at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, the walk made its way through Downtown Paw Paw, before returning to the church. Approximately 70 people from around the area took part in the walk. Eleanor Dunlop, who will turn 102 this summer, has participated in all the walks since its inception. She is shown with her daughter, Joan, and son-in-law, John Anglin. A total of 25 percent of the funds raised will be returned and given to six area food pantries in Van Buren County, while the rest will go to Church World Servies for national and international relief projects. Donated food items were boxed and given to three area pantries.
