Several heated races to be decided in Tuesday Primary

According to a list from the Clare County Clerk’s Offices, the Republican side of Tuesday’s Primary Ballot will see the most action when voters go to the polls.
Michigan Governor: Four Republicans are in the Primary seeking a slot on the November ballot against Democratic incumbent Gretchen Whitmer. They are Rallph Rebandt, Kevin Rinke, Garrett Soldano, Tudor M. Dixon and Ryan D. Kelley.
Congressional Representative 2nd District: Republican incumbent John Moolenaar faces a challenge in his party from Thomas J. Norton. The winner Tuesday will face Democrat Jerry Hilliard in November.
State Senator 34th District: Republicans Roger Hauck and Lisa M. Sowers will face each other in the Primary for a chance to face Democrat Christine Gerace in November.
State Legislature 100th District: No challenges in the Primary, but Republican Tom Kunse will face Democrat Nate Bailey in November.
Clare County Road Commission:
Two Republicans are the only ones running for two seats on the Clare County Road Commission with no opposition. Barring a winning write-in in November, Merle Harmon and Max L. Schunk will be seated on that board.
Clare County Commission:
At the County Commission level, District 1 has two Republicans vying for a slot on the November ballot: Marlene M. Housler and Curtis Schaub, both from Lake. The winner on Tuesday will earn the seat unless a write-in candidate earns more votes in the November Election.
Two Republicans are facing off for the District 2 slot on the ballot in November: Bronwyn Hawks Asplund of Harrison and Dale Majewski of Lake. Tuesday’s winner will be unopposed in November.
Two more Republicans will face off Tuesday for the District 3, with the winner claiming the seat with no opposition in November. Candidates are Jacob Gross of Farwell and Samantha Pitchford of Lake.
Republican Jeff Haskell is the only candidate from either party seeking the District 4 seat on the County Commission.
Candidates for the District 5 seat include Sandra Bristol, the only Democrat in the Primary. She will face the winner in the Republican side. David Hoefling and Robert VanDenbrook are looking to run against Bristol in November
Two Republicans are hoping for a win in the run for the District 6 seat on the county board. Shawn Anderson of Harrison will face former commissioner Jack Kleinhardt. The winner claim the seat with no Democratic opposition in November.
District 7 has only one candidate, Gabe Ambrozaitis, a Republican.
In District 8 only Republican George Gilmore is unopposed on the Primary ballot and will be unopposed in November.
For District 9, Two Republicans will face off for the seat to be unopposed in November: Rickie G. Fancon and Tom Koch each of Clare.
Townships:
In Grant Townhip Karl W. Randall will face a challenge in the primary from Linda Gilmore. Both are Republicans.
Three other Republican are unopposed on the Primary ballot and have no opposition in November.
They are Valdine Erskine for Hamilton Township Clerk; Susan L. Brower for Redding Township Clerk and Sherilene Levy for Summerfield Township Treasurer.
