SOUTH HAVEN — South Haven’s baseball team is 15-9 after splitting a doubleheader on May 23 with Holland at home.
The first game was a 4-1 South Haven win.
The Rams opened the scoring the bottom of the first on Charlie Hiatt’s RBI single.
South Haven took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third with Jadon Schneider’s double being a key hit.
Max Verseput was the winning pitcher for South Haven, allowing no hits and no runs over there innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Elijah Eddy pitched four innings in relief. He allowed five hits and one run.
Jordan Schneider led South Haven with two RBIs and a hit. Also getting a hit were Jadon Schneider, Verseput, Eddy Hiatt, Wyatt Dotson, Johnathan Bevevino and Isaac Chalupa.
South Haven’s defense did not commit an error.
Holland won the second game 8-3. Max Verseput, Hiatt and Chalupa had one Rise apiece Chalupa had three hits for South Haven. South Haven stole four bases.
Morse took the pitching loss for South Haven.
