South Haven’s new million gallon concrete water storage tank is rising out of the ground.
When completed in 2026, it will replace a crumbling century–old tank located on Blue State Memorial Highway.
The new tank is located near the City of South Haven Public Works building on 8th Avenue. It is visible from Blue Star Memorial Highway.
It is part of a $42 million capital improvement project being undertaken by the South Haven Area Water Sewer Authority (SHAWSA). A group of federal and state grants and loans are funding the project that will include upgrading water mains and approximately 2,100 customer service lines.
